Wegner (1914-2007), working with architect Palle Suenson (1904-1987), for the M/S Venus luxury liner, having arcing backs and three-quarter arms upholstered in leather, with organically modeled exposed arm fronts and legs; teak; Denmark, 1946-1948 (When Suenson received a commission to re-appoint the interiors of the Danish-built and Norwegian owned M/S Venus, after having been seized by the German navy in the Second World War, he sought out Wegner to work with him to design a wide program of fine modern furnishings.)
