Trained as a graphics artist, Ebbe Sadolin (1900-1982) is most well known for his work illustrating books in Denmark and Sweden. Admired for his light, elegant and modern style, he had opportunities to work in various media, including a commission to design the batik wall-coverings in the Danish National Pavilion at the 1925 Paris Exposition and numerous porcelain and stoneware models for Bing & Grondahl beginning in 1927
