Buenos Aires Recoleta
Drawn to Buenos Aires as part of his ongoing research into the life and career of Jean-Michel Frank, architect Carlos Aparicio discovered this 1920s Beaux-Arts apartment in the city’s Recoleta neighborhood and fell in love with its old-world charm.
Originally decorated by Maison Jansen in the firm’s signature classical style, the interior has been sensitively brought into the present while preserving its historical character. An eclectic selection of neoclassical antiques and modern masterpieces furnish the spaces. Included in the display are iconic pieces by Jean-Michel Frank, Jean Royère, Gilbert Poillerat, and Frits Henningsen.
Founder of BAC, and principal of Aparicio + Associates, Carlos Aparicio is renowned for creating considered and sophisticated environments with the highest standards of execution.
