Nordic Modern desk/dressing table by Carl Axel Aacking (1910-2001) for Svenska Möbelfabriken, having two drawers and a swing-out caddy, with dowel-like framing and rounded corners; mahogany, beech and brass; Sweden, 1943.

Acking designed this and other models for a 1943 competition held by the Swedish Furniture Manufacturers in collaboration with the Swedish Crafts Association of furniture “particularly adapted to the needs of the modern family home.”
