Modern Classicism kneehole desk by Carl Malmsten (1888-1972) for Bodafors, having a rectangular top with three drawers across the top case and cabinets flanking the knee well (left opens to shelving, right reveals slide-out drawers), ornamented with an inlaid frieze course wrapping around the top apron and carved tassel-shaped legs; birch with macassar ebony and other veneer woods; Sweden, 1920s-1930s.
